Sabine Fendyr’s Hierarchy: Alpha, Prime Apparent and Danika’s Place
Spoiler boundary: House of Earth and Blood opening only. No later succession, family secret or outcome.
Direct answer: Sabine Fendyr holds more than one position in HOEAB’s opening: she is Alpha of the Scythe Moon Pack and Prime Apparent of the Valbaran wolves. Danika’s grandfather is the Prime, while Danika has her own pack leadership and a future place in that hierarchy. The terms describe different levels of authority. Sabine’s role as Danika’s mother adds a family relationship; it does not replace the political chart.
An Alpha leads a pack; Prime Apparent concerns succession
The opening distinguishes Sabine’s pack position from her place beneath the current Prime. The distinction explains why two titles can apply to the same person without naming the same job. Read the hierarchy from the top down at the opening checkpoint, and do not import a later succession result into an introductory chart.
Danika’s pack leadership is not the same office as Sabine’s
The opening presents Danika with the Pack of Devils while placing Sabine with the Scythe Moon Pack. Their mother-daughter relationship does not collapse those groups into one interchangeable unit. A family tree and an organizational chart answer different questions: who is related, and who has authority over a particular group.
Family friction becomes sharper inside a hierarchy
Our interpretation is that the overlap of mother and superior helps explain why an ordinary disagreement can carry extra weight. A choice about presentation or behavior is not only a private argument when public rank is involved. That does not mean every maternal reaction is a formal order. Name which role Sabine is occupying before deciding what kind of pressure a scene shows.
